Out now: Amenti034 - Mood II Swing

May 1, 2008 – 12:50 pm

Amenti Music has teamed up with King Street Sounds to re-release the classic “Closer” from legends Mood II Swing.

On side A Olivier Desmet teams up with Fred Everything for a deep rendition that’s been causing quite a stir already on a limited promo run (firm favorite of Strictly Rhythm A&R Aaron Ross and of Mark Farina who used the cut on his forthcoming Fabric mix CD).

Flip over for the classic Swing To Mood Dub which has been lovingly remastered by Chris Alexander at Heathmans Mastering in London.

Visit the “releases” page to check out audio clips.

Out now on Vinyl (limited edition pressing of 1000 units) via Amenti Music, out very soon on digital via King Street Sounds.

Amenti Music & Om Records: SF Sessions Vol 6

January 8, 2008 – 6:03 pm

San Francisco Sessions Volume 6

Inland Knights and Olivier Desmet

[OM-296] Om Records legendary San Francisco Sessions Series has always featured the best in underground talent. It has been the first series to successfully introduce the world to current dance electronic legends such as Mark Farina, Kaskade, DJ Garth, and JT Donaldson. This double-disc collection features two of the hottest house music producers & DJs in today’s dance music scene. This time around it’s mixed by fan favorites Inland Knights on Disc 1, with Olivier Desmet bringing it home on Disc 2.

Inland Knights show their fusion of funk and jazz, alongside dynamic percussion and vocal hooks throughout their mix. Their sound encompasses all styles of house, from dubby deep house, disco, and garage, to four to the floor tech house. They truly showcase their years of undeniable talent by fitting the perfect sound at the perfect time. A favorite among the likes of Mark Farina, Johnny Fiasco, and DJ Heather, just this simple fact alone has made them rising stars in the underground scene.

A San Francisco transplant from Belgium, Oliver Desmet is no stranger to the industry as He is a 17 year veteran behind the decks. He’s also found the time to produce and remix over 50 records. His mix is synonymous with Om’s signature sound, but he also brings forward different elements of his own style. From the smooth melodic deep end to the harder techier sides of house, it’s this forward thinking and deep house influences that truly fuse this set together.

Both Inland Knights and Olivier Desmet will embark on world-wide tours in support of the release. Visit www.aptentertainment.com for booking information.

Release date: February 19th 2008 via Om Records.

November 28, 2007 – 12:59 am

We’ve updated amentimusic.com with a sleek and simple new look. Hope you dig it. We’ll add some cool new features to the web site soon so be on the lookout for that.

Ken ECB’s “I Heart Bougie” is still doing damage on dancefloors everywhere and has been licensed to DJ Heather’s “Om Summer Session” CD, while Toka Project’s excellent remix is featured on the recent Mark Farina “Live in Tokyo” disc.

Next up on Amenti is a new EP by Nottingham madmen the Littlemen, with remixes courtesy of Matt Shrewd and The Sound Diggers. Look out for promos in early January, with a tentative late January release date. We’ve got a seriously hot release schedule lined up for 2008 - don’t want to spoil the surprise just yet but some amazing projects have been picked up. Keep checking the site for updates.

Amenti Music’s official vinyl retailer primalrecords.com has just been completely overhauled, check out the site here.
